All the creative artists get their artistic quality by birth, and with proper nourishment and culture this quality can only be enriched. It is spontaneous to them and it is flourished, if they get a favourable atmosphere. In our country also many talents have been nipped in the bud due the want of a favourable atmosphere of nourishment.
India is a developing country, although it has become politically independent fifty years ago, its poverty restrained itself to develop a self sufficient society here. The morality of its inhabitants is not high and their consciousness of art is also yet to be developed. Very little fund is being allocated for the development of art and culture in the government budgets. Parents give prime emphasis on the formal education of their wards but the part of art and culture always get the second preference.
In spite of all these complications some organisations are really striving to produce a finer appreciation and cultivation of the fine arts such as painting and music. As with painting, there has been a tendency to revive old architectural styles. A new spirit in the cultivation of music is evident in our country. The efforts are largely responsible for a finer appreciation of music, and now schools for the scientific study and practice of India music, vocal as well as instrumental, have sprung up in all and several other places.
