From the pre-historic age, even the Pathaeolithic age Neolithic men used to draw pictures, the evidence of which is supplied by the cave drawings. In those preliminary ages, men used to use charcoal and fat of beast as their medium of drawing. Consequently as years rolled by, men acquired greater knowledge and skill of art. Now the artists use paper, wood, canvas, walls of moments, temples, etc. as a support of depiction of their skill, The purpose of an artist is to present to the spectator the sum of his own visual and emotional experience of a given section of nature and to serve this purpose, intuition is essential. An artist cannot be an artist without having any intuition. This intuition is spontaneous to an artist, it is a god gifted boon to him, with proper nourishment it can be only enriched. Intuition, creates a yarning zeal in the sanctum of the Artists's heart and prvokes him to create art.
In the case of Perspective, the vanishing point is determined by the artist only on the basis of intuition. Similarly, in the case of portrait, the psychological reflection of the face is also done with the help of intuition.
Oil Painting becomes brighter, and Water Colour Painting becomes soft or pale when the colours get dried, this measurement of brightness and softness is done buy the artist on the basis of his intuition.
So, intuition is essential for any creative art. It helps the artist to visualise the final product in advance and motivates him to control all the lines, shades etc. correctly for the actual depiction of his thoughts through the media of art. Intuition helps the artist to improve and control his skill.
